Your testimonies belong to you. Look after your account, use Grace Journal kindly and lawfully, double-check anything the AI suggests against a trusted Bible, and remember this is a reflection tool — not counselling, pastoral care, or medical advice.

Acceptance of Terms
Agreeing to These Terms
By creating an account or using Grace Journal, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Grace Journal grows. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page and, where the change materially affects you, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Grace Journal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Your Account
Eligibility
Grace Journal is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the app with a parent or guardian's permission.
Keeping Your Account Secure
You're responsible for your sign-in details and for activity that happens under your account. Please choose a strong password, keep it to yourself, and let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access.
Accurate Contact Details
If you ask us to send reminders, please give us an email address or phone number you actually control. Reminders sent to a number or inbox that isn't yours could share private reflections with someone else.
Closing Your Account
You can delete your account and your data at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where we're required to by law — and we'll aim to tell you why when we can.
Acceptable Use
Use Grace Journal in Good Faith
Grace Journal is a quiet, personal space. Please use it for your own reflection and encouragement, and not in ways that would harm other people or the service.
Please Don't
- • Use the app for anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful to others
- • Try to access another person's account, content, or data
- • Probe, disrupt, or overload our systems, or work around security or rate limits
- • Scrape or bulk-extract content, or resell access to the service
- • Upload malicious code, or content you have no right to share
Reporting a Problem
If you spot a security issue or something being misused, please tell us at support@gracejournal.app rather than exploring it further. We're grateful for responsible reports.
Your Content and Ours
You Own What You Write
Your testimonies, challenges, notes, and reflections are yours. Creating them in Grace Journal doesn't transfer any ownership to us, and we don't claim rights to publish, share, or sell them.
The Permission You Give Us
So the app can work, you give us permission to store, encrypt, back up, and process your content — and to send it to the services described in our Privacy Policy — only for the purpose of providing the features you use. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies held briefly in routine backups.
Responsibility for Your Content
You're responsible for what you record, including anything you write about other people. Please be thoughtful when a testimony involves someone else's story as well as your own.
Our Content
The Grace Journal name, design, and software belong to us. You're welcome to use the app as intended, but not to copy, resell, or build a competing service from it. Scripture quotations remain subject to the rights of their respective publishers.
AI Scripture Suggestions
Helpful, But Not Infallible
Grace Journal uses AI to suggest Bible verses, reflection prompts, and connections between your testimonies and challenges. AI can be wrong — a reference, a quotation, or an explanation of why a passage fits may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify suggested Scripture against a trusted Bible translation, and use your own discernment.
Not Spiritual Direction
AI suggestions are a prompt for your own reflection, not teaching, counsel, or a word from God about your situation. They don't represent the views of Grace Journal or of any church or ministry.
You Can Turn AI Off
AI features are optional. You can switch them off in your privacy settings and keep writing, saving, and adding Scripture yourself. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent where when AI features are on.
Reminders and Notifications
You Choose to Receive Them
Email and SMS reminders are opt-in. By turning them on and giving us your email address or phone number, you're asking us to send you the reminders you've set up. You can change your schedule, or stop them entirely, at any time in your reminder settings — or by replying STOP to a text message.
Delivery Isn't Guaranteed
Reminders travel through email providers and mobile carriers we don't control, so a message may arrive late or not at all. Please don't rely on Grace Journal reminders for anything time-critical. Your carrier's standard message and data rates may apply.
What They Contain
Reminders may include content drawn from your own testimonies, so choose a device and inbox you're comfortable receiving personal reflections on.
Service Availability
Provided As-Is
We work hard to keep Grace Journal running, but it's provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We can't promise the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location.
Changes to the App
Features may change, and occasionally we may retire one. If we ever discontinue Grace Journal, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your testimonies first.
Keep Your Own Copy
We take backups, but no service is immune to data loss. Your testimonies matter — we encourage you to export them from your settings from time to time and keep a copy of your own.
Important Disclaimers
Not a Substitute for Professional Support
Grace Journal is a personal reflection tool designed to help you remember and rehearse God's goodness in your life. It is not a substitute for professional counselling, pastoral care, or medical advice, and nothing in the app is a diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. If you are in crisis, in emotional distress, or in need of spiritual guidance, please reach out to a trusted pastor, counsellor, or mental health professional — and contact your local emergency services if you or someone else may be in danger.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grace Journal and the people behind it are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app — including lost content, missed reminders, or decisions made in reliance on AI suggestions. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Grace Journal is operated, without affecting any consumer protections you're entitled to where you live. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Questions About These Terms?
